January 1, 2006

36 OCSJ members join us on our traditional

NEW YEARS DAY paddle on the Oswego River.

What a great way to kick off 2006.

The Outdoor Club of South Jersey has over 300 paddling activities scheduled for 2006 including FREE paddle skills training. 98% of our activities take place.

The 2006 NEW YEARS DAY event started at lake Oswego and paddled to Harrisville lake where we  enjoyed a celebration to kick off the New Year with our paddling friends.

Winter time paddling is a great time to paddle as long as we respect the conditions. Paddle only with SAFE leaders that are trained to give proper assistance!

Stay off the Delaware and other WIDE rivers. Dress for the water temperatures. Do not wear any cotton (cotton kills)!

Do not paddle alone! Carry two changes of clothes, bring something to drink that is warm and you will have a great day just like our winter OCSJ trips!
